Here you will find some images from a meandering tour of Scottish distilleries and other whisky bits and pieces, unapologetic ‘snaps’ on acheap camera by a cheaper photographer.

Imagine...

- A remarkable exhibit at Glen Farclas, a still from Leith distillery. Note the wide base and shallowness for rapid heating.

- Arran, I think!

- Knock, knockdhu.

- Glen Lochy: luckily we still have both our built and distilled heritage.

- Spot the label.

- Glen Moray, as a loon this was part of my wider playground, 20 years later its still entertaining.

- This is the pretty bit.

Imperial, well looked after externally...

'Mortlach', is even sounds good, and a bit like it belongs in Middle Earth.

Despite what you might think, this is not a sponsored site.

Guess the distillery.

One of my favourite distilleries. A peculiar still room, far from cosmeticesed tourist fodder.

A bunny haven.

A dram of Glen Eynort just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Don’t Knock it.
This site gives an on-line presence to Jolly Toper Tastings. The tastings exist to allow established and new whisky drinkers to try rare, obscure, expensive but primarily good drams that otherwise might be difficult to track down, afford and taste. Beyond this the bespoke tastings offer the chance to commission a tasting for your own needs. As the site matures we hope to add a picture gallery and other features. In the meantime- dram on!
